Chivers Carpenter Lawyers is a firm of union-side labour lawyers who restrict their practices to labour, employment, and human rights law. Senior partner Barrie Chivers established the firm in 1987 together with Sheila Greckol, who was appointed a Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta in December 2001.

The lawyers of Chivers Carpenter represent labour organizations and workers in all facets of labour relations, human rights, administrative and employment law and provide legal representation at arbitration hearings, labour board hearings and at all levels of court.

The firm and its members are active in a variety of community organizations and community affairs. As a client appreciation service, the firm offers its clients free educational seminars on a twice-yearly basis.
