Daniel Waring
Daniel holds a JD from the University of Alberta, a Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish with a minor in Political Science from the University of Alberta. During his time at law school, Daniel was an active volunteer with several organizations including Student Legal Services, the Francophone Law Students Association, and OutLaw. In his final year of law school as part of his involvement with Pro Bono Students Canada, Daniel established and lead a Trans ID Clinic to assist trans and gender non-conforming individuals in updating their government-issued ID.
Daniel joined Chivers Carpenter as an associate in 2022 practicing labour, employment, and human rights law. Prior to joining the firm, Daniel completed his articles at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, a non-profit that provides legal assistance to low-income individuals in the Edmonton area. He speaks English, French, Spanish, and some Portuguese. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys watching movies and TV, spending time with friends, and looking for Edmonton’s best burger.
