Natalia Makuch
Natalia practices labour, employment, and human rights law. She has been a partner since 2020 after joining the firm as an articling student in 2013.
Natalia conducts arbitration hearings and matters before administrative tribunals, including the Alberta Labour Relations Board, Canada Industrial Relations Board, Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, and the WCB Appeals Commission. She has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of Kings Bench.
She regularly presents at conferences and seminars on labour-related topics, including the duty to accommodate, unfair labour practice complaints, and the duty of fair representation.
During law school Natalia received the Sherrard Kuzz LLP prize in Labour Law, Employment Law and Administrative Law, and the Osgoode Centennial Scholarship for Alberta. As a law student, she participated in the Anti-Discrimination Intensive Program where she spent a semester working at the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Center.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, skiing, and spending time with her family.
