Wassila practises in labour, employment, administrative, and human rights law. She has appeared before various levels of court in Alberta and participated in a number of administrative hearings. During law school, she worked as a researcher in different areas of law, received awards such as the Contract Law Prize, placed second in the National Labour Arbitration Moot competition, and was involved in a number of organizations including the Women’s Law Forum, Alberta Law Review, and Student Legal Services.
Wassila joined Chivers Carpenter in the summer of 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Wassila clerked at the Court of Appeal of Alberta in 2008 and continued her article and remained as an associate at mid-sized Edmonton law firm since 2009, where she practised in various areas, including employment and administrative law.
Wassila’s interests include reading, travelling and spending time with her family.
