Tyler Godard

Tyler practices labour, employment, human rights and administrative law.

He received his Juris Doctor, with Distinction, from the University of Alberta. After law school, he clerked at the Court of King’s Bench in Edmonton before completing his articles and then practicing as an associate at a regional, full-service firm in Edmonton. He joined Chivers Carpenter as an associate in 2024.

Prior to law school, Tyler studied Economics at Queen’s University and then worked for several non-profit organizations across the country. He has been involved in different initiatives advancing adult literacy, prison reform, employee rights and housing security.

While a proud Edmontonian, Tyler continues to be a loyal Calgary Flames fan, which is widely accepted by his colleagues and never a point of contention. He enjoys running in the river valley and visiting the mountains.
